Where did the bricks come from – what does it look like there now? What has become of the former mining and production site? The Wienerberger brick industry brought form, work, and population to the district, leaving an architectural as well as an economic and political heritage behind it. The decision to leave the firm’s headquarters on Wienerberger and to continue development of the location meant that the concern participated decisively in the urban development of its “home site” and thus in the shape of today’s cityscape.
